Manhattan Bridge: New York's Number 3 Bridge
The Manhattan Bridge was inaugurated on December 31, 1909 in New York City, USA.
It is the last of a series of three, after the Brooklyn and Williamsburg bridges.
It officially received the name Manhattan Bridge in 1902 and thus replaces the original name N3 bridge.
With its massive triumphal arch reminiscent of Roman imperial architecture, it is now a landmark for New Yorkers.
The architect who was in charge of designing the bridge is Leon Moisseiff.

The structure has gigantic dimensions and accommodate on different levels :
-7 traffic lanes for drivers

-4 subway lines : B, D, N and Q lines

The bridge connects the Brooklyn neighborhood with Manhattan and especially Chinatown .
Today it is one of the main tourist attractions of the city with the Brooklyn bridge.
